Dear Readers

Can anyone help solve this little problem i have at my work place. the
problem is that, our Windows server 2003 std, is DHCP server, giving
out IP addresses, and all the client computers are set to Obtain IP
addresses Automatically. Last week some of the Client Computers had
problem obtaining the IP addresses only 3 are affected, and the rest
are okay, IP is assigned by DHCP.

The 3 affected clients are able to use the map drive and access the
Internet through manual IP configuration, so this suggests that the
Cables and Hubs are fine, but i have no clue why the DHCP is not giving
out IP address to those Clients - the servers have been re-started.

Can anyone help!!

Aloha B3NGL,

Do you have enough addresses for all of your machines? If you check the
DHCP server does it think the 3 affected machines have valid leases already?

On the affected machines have you tried doing a Repair on the network connection?
What OS are the client computers running?
