DHCP monitoring

i would like to monitor the dhcp traffic. i added a counter log on my w2003
dhcp server in performance monitor.the amount of traffic is exported to a
logfile;a binary file.but when i open this binary file,i see nothing.should i
do something else?

of time(2 WEEKS OR SO)

You can also use the following command to read the DHCP server stats -

netsh dhcp server show mibinfo

You could run Ethereal or even Network monitor with filters enabled as well.

thanks all for the reply.
netsh dhcp server show mibinfo isnt giving me enough info; i need to know
how much traffic is being generated in a specific time period. fi i would
like to see for a week how much traffic dhcp generates every week.
about the network monitor; which network monitor is it?

and about the ethereal;how can i configure the dhcp capture in ethereal?
