We have an issue where as you approach a high number of scopes (86 in this
instance), the database begins to corrupt. This happens on all 3 DHCP servers
we have.

does anyone know if this has been documented somewhere?

Microsoft talks in terms of a total DHCP client/server limit of 10,000
rather than a scope limit - it actually uses an example of 1000 scopes with
10 clients each:

We are having a similar issue and have run up against the "86 scope rule". Is
there a recommended amount of increase to the registry & paging file sizes to
allow up to the max (1,000 scopes & 10,000 clients)?
