DHCP Lease Renewal

I was wondering how often my Linksys WPC54G should be renewing its DHCP
lease from my Linksys WRT54 router...The lease time is set for 1 day
(the default), but my laptop indicates that the lease is being renewed
far more frequently than that (every 1-2 hours), each time for an
additional 24 hours...Is this normal/expected behavior for this
adapter?

Any assistance would be appreciated...
