I am sure many out there face this situation. Mixed Linux/Windows LAN. DHCP server on UBUNTU. DNS
Server on Windows 2000 server. DHCP server log indicates "timed out" messages when the DHCP server
attempts dynamic DNS updates. The Windows 2000 DNS server allows dynamic DNS updates. I have a
whole set of options relating to DDNS set in dhcpd.conf. The one that has "interim". The other one
has "on". I have forgotten the exact names as I am in a different location as I write this email.
So, it is not the basic stuff that is at fault. It is something else. Has anyone else encountered
this situation and whast did you do to fix it?
Thanks,
JB
