DHCP Client list

Symptom: I can not release an IP address from the DHCP
client list.
I have an MN_700 base station. I have MAC filtering set.
One of the clients on the network just updated the
wireless adapter. I added the new MAC address for the new
device. the client is connected to the network. The
problem is that although I deleted the old MAC address
and reset the base station, the old MAC address, client
name, and old IP address is still on the DHCP client
list. It will not go away. What do I do?

HELP!

Thanks

Hi,

Go to the Base Station Management Tool, and then go to the Local Area
Network section and lower the Lease time for assigned IP address and the old
IP address on the DHCP list will disappear after that time.

The reason why the listing was still on the main page is because the IP
address wasn't released and the base station still has it's entry and it
won't expire until the time frame that was originally given on that IP
address lease.

Gary,
I tried those steps to no avail. I reset, powered off the
base station, etc... no change it is still there.
Is there another option short of resetting the base
station to the factory default. I did not want to do that
if I don't have to.

Thanks,

By any chance, are your network connections on your computer bridged. Make
sure they are not bridged. The networking wizard will do this by default
(for no good reason).

No they are not bridged. I set the leased time to 15
minutes. The IP address is still assigned to the MAC
address that is not on the network, and denied access in
the filtering section.

Any Ideeas?
