DHCP Cleints Lose Internet Connectivity

Ok this one is wierd

All my DHCP cleints are losing the ability to connect to the internet every
35 min ie no surfing. They can still see everything on the local network
(servers printers ect). They can also connet to the internal web server but
when they try to access an external webpage no go. Renewing the ip fixes the
problem but that isnt a solution. I have reset my routers and checked my
servers all appear to be fine. Hardcoded addresses will work continuously. I
cannot even decide where to start troubleshooting this. Anyone have any Ideas
?

Standard 24 hour leases.

I thought of that as well but that doesnt appear to be the problem. Besides
wont the system just request a new IP when the lease expires ?

I am thinking it is some kind of problem with the Gig switch but I cant see
anything wrong with it. I replaced the router I am using for the internet
connection still no go. I am really Dumbfounded by this problem

Thanks

Yep checked that as well.

They have the proper ip gateway and dns settings when they lose
connectivity. When I renew the ip it stays the same as expected. There is no
change in the ip structure at all. I can ping the router, domain server, and
dns. as best I can tell the problem is not on the workstation. Another peice
of the puzzle. All machines appear to go down cascade style. for example the
outage starts at one end of the office and sequentually takes down all dhcp
configured workstations. there is only one DHCP server on this segment. I
have another one at the other end of our VPN tunnel but it is configured to
give out a completly different ip subnet. I do not see that ip structure when
the machines lose the connection. As best I can tell TCPIP is up and working
on the workstations as I can see allthe local resources. They just cannot
connect to anything external.

Thanks for your responses I really appretiate the input.

in that case you have to check the dns server if is internal then you have to
check if is working properly and if the forwarders are still working.
