DHCP Bad_Address

Hello,

I have a Win2003 Sp2 Server hosting DHCP. A few servers are using all
of my available IP addresses, no workstations do this. My DHCP server
will fill up in 5-10 minutes will "Bad_Address" & "IP already in
use" (or similar). Could someone please help provide troubleshooting
tips?

I suspect a mis-configured IBM Bladecenter Switch (Cisco). Is this
possible? All of the servers who display this issue connect to the
Bladecenter Switch.

DHCP Server on 10.0.6.48 xSeries Tower Win2003 SP2
DHCP Scope 10.0.6.50/24 - 254

Generally, there are 100+ free IPs.

I have used this tool:
DHCPLOC 10.0.6.4 10.0.6.48
This does not display any rogue DHCP servers
Also it displays repeated attempts of devices trying to get IPs from
the proper DHCP server

Network Monitor also confirms that there are repeated attempts from
devices requesting IPs from the proper DHCP server.

The DHCP Log shows 3 or 4 servers repeated requesting IPs (shown
below)

30,10/12/07,01:07:06,DNS Update Request,51.6.0.10,serverA.,,
10,10/12/07,01:07:06,Assign,10.0.6.51,canasql.,00145EDAC6AC ,
30,10/12/07,01:07:06,DNS Update Request,51.6.0.10,serverA.,,
13,10/12/07,01:07:06,Conflict,10.0.6.51,BAD_ADDRESS,,
32,10/12/07,01:07:06,DNS Update Successful,10.0.6.51,serverA.,,

Blade Servers - each server has 2 NICs one is generally not used.
Each server has a Static IP assigned to the nic (even though it says
Aquiring IP when the nic is enabled).
No other workstations in the network are affected.

Cisco GB Switch for IBM Bladecenter Configuration
Ports 1 - 13 - assigned to 'internal' blade servers (one for each
server) vlan 2
Port 14 - assigned to 'internal' blade server #14 vlan 3 dmz
Port 15 - mgmt port vlan 1
Port 16 - mgmt port vlan 1 - not used
Port 17 - 'external port' - to file server vlan 2
Port 18 - 'external port' - to DHCP server vlan 2
Port 19 - 'external port' - to DMZ LAN vlan 3
Port 20 - 'external port' - trunk to backbone network switch (catalyst
3750)

Steps to reproduce the problem
Blade #1 Nic #1 - disabled
Blade #1 Nic #2 - disabled
Configur Nic #1 to a static IP of 10.0.6.42/24 and other relavent info
Enable Nic #1
Server displays bubble 'Acquiring Network Address'... wait a bit
Look in DHCP Address Lease List - Free IPs will be assigned with
"BAD_ADDRESS" error

Any thoughts is really appreciated.
