The optimal time for DHCP lease depend on few factors. Do you have a lot of
laptop moving from site A to site B? because, when a computer receive an IP
address from a DHCP server, the server will kept the ip address until the
lease will finish even if the computer as left the subnet. So if you have
this situation, a lease of 1 or 2 days will be better. If your lease is too
short, you will have another problem, the DNS server will have some problem
to be up to date.
