DHCP and SMP boxes?? Help

Well, I just took the ethernet card from the
Windows box and put it in the server and the
damn thing worked...
It is an EZCard 10/100 Realtek.
And I move the 3com Fast Etherlink to the Windows
box and the DHCP worked on it.

Seems to me that the DHCP servers from Cogeco
are a little bit weird.

As a note. I tried the following
on the linux box and did not work:
3Com etherlink
Network Evreywhere Fast EThernet 10/100
D-Link
