Hi. few things i need cleared up if someone can help. DHCP will hand out an
address to a client and then register that address in DNS if you have the
box selected. This is good for NT clients for example that cant do DDNS
themselves, yes? ok... my confusion is, what zone will the address be
registered in if you have several zones? for instance my AD zone might be
AD.COM. so if a client is a member of that domain does that mean the record
will be registered in the AD.COM zone by default? then there is the "primary
DNS suffix" and "connection specific DNS suffix" settings on the
workstations... how do these come into play? will setting one override where
the DNS record is registered? other than domain membership, what determines
where a DNS record will be registered once DHCP assgins an address?
