When my laptop users first log-in in the morning, they're
logging in locally because they can't find a server. They
can't find a server because they don't have an IP address
(network using DHCP.) It seems like the address renewel
at boot isn't picking one up. If I wait 30 seconds after
the system is booted and do a manual /release /renew, it
works (fails before that). My DHCP server seems to be
running fine, has more than enough address in its pool to
hand out, and there's no network congestion. Is there a
way to have the clients retry picking up an address, or
speed up how the server hands out addresses, or anything
that might resolve this problem?
