DHCP Address Problem

Just did a fresh install of LM 9.1, same problem as every other time I've
done a clean install, I can't
remember how to fix it (actually it seems to fix itself). Install goes well,
detects my 3c905 card ok, but will not pull a DHCP assigned address. Once
booted, I can run dhclient or dhcpcd and get one just fine, so the card
seems to be working well. I also boot WinXP, Gentoo 1.4 and Lindows with no
problem, so it seems to be a Mandrake 9.1 issue. I've run the network wizard
in MCC a
hundred times (OK maybe I'm exaggerating a bit) and even linuxconf shows the
correct info already (it knows the dns servers too). I've also toggled Pnp
in BIOS with no changes. I'm stumped, any ideas
are appreciated. Thanks!

I have one of those cards also, but it's sitting on the
sidelines as of now. Boots up fine then for some reason unknown
to myself, the card once worked; ML 8.2, RH 9.0, SuSE 8.2, then
no more. It has a Broadcom 5904 chipset. Try to ifconfig, arp,
netstat(s), to see if your packets go anywhere if that helps.
