I have catalyst switch 3560. I have done set up for my switch.

All laptops are working fine for Vlan65. They are getting dynamic ip
address without any problem. When I connect 7 PC Xp Sp2 to the vlan, 5 out 7
are getting dynamic address without any problem. However, 2 out 7 are not
getting expected dynamic IPs but APIPA addreses.

I have tried to troubleshoot the problem, and I have observed signals on
the MS DHCP server by using ethreal. There is DHCP discoveries with the
source address 0.0.0.0., MAC and NetBIOS address of the DHCP would-be
client, but there is no DHCP offer from the server?

I have installed program dhcpexplorer which are able to discover DHCP on my
vlan.
I have set up vlan static address for testing purposes, and the system works!

I do not know what to do next?

Hello Dole,

Make sure on the 2 machines that no firewall is blocking it. DHCP port 67/68.

Best regards
