DG834G, WG511, FTP Problems

Hello

I have recently purchased a Netgear DG834G router and wireless card.
I have set it up but am having to very annoying problems, they are :

1/ When trying to complete a bulk FTP upload to my website the ftp
sessions simply hangs and then closes. Using CMD prompt ftp.

2/ My wireless cad on my laptop will struggle to connect to the
wireless router despite being just a yard or so away. It has woked
perfectly but after reboots it is unable to pick up the connection
again and just keeps scanning.

I have upgraded to firmware version 1.0.3 and although the upgrade
appeared to work, the ftp problem has not been resolved and the
wireless problem has gotten worse. My PC is a good spec with XP
latest patches.

Any ideas would be very welcome.

Seeing if it makes any recommendations, this woul dbe if the issue is PC
based. But it sometimes assists. I had a problem with my Belkin which
was down to the MTU handling on the Belkin which as now been resolved.
