Approx. once a week, browsing the net becomes very sluggish on my 4Mb
broadband connection. Just switching the router off and on again (it's
usually powered 24/7) solves the problem until the next time. It's not
particularly inconvenient to do this but I wondered if anyone can say
why it happens and if there's a more permanent solution? Have latest
firmware. Thanks

I've got a v1 - I had problems with it doing something similar
occassionally, I solved it by turning off the DNS proxy - so far it the
problem has occurred again in 6 months.

Do you use anything such as Bit Torrent?

Ted.

FYI DG834 has extremely low noise tolerance. If your attenuation or noise
ratio is above 20 then the router will loose sync, as someone pointed out
heavy downloading usually initiates the loss of sync.
