DG834: controlling latency

Hi,

On the recommendations of this group I bought a DG834 modem not so long
ago. It works great and resolved all the daft NAT timeout problems I had
with my old Zoom X5.

One minor point, though: if I allow a download to saturate my 2Mbps
connection the latency on interactive sessions rises more heavily than
on my old X5. It's nothing close to unusable, of course, but it is a
little annoying.

Is there any way to do a minimal QoS kind of thing? A client-side
solution probably wouldn't work since I have quite a few machines
connected behind a switch to the modem.
