hi all,

i just upgraded my firmware to the lates version and everything seemed to
work ok. however, i can't connect using the wireless anymore, my connection
fails on both laptops using the MA401 pcmcia cards as well as my XP desktop.
connecting via ethernet cable works fine though.

i hope someone has an idea what could be causing this cos im pulling my hair
out

thanks

nina

When you upgrade your firmware, the 824M goes to the default setup (you
have to reconfigure all your settings). Not uncommon with APs.

thanks for your message tony but it wasnt that. it kept all my settings ok,
but they added a unction to switch the wireless access point on and off, and
that was by default set to off, must have overlooked that.

its working fine now, better than ever in fact.

You do surprise me. The directions for installing the firmware include a
directive to use the reset button after flashing.

Not sure which directions you are looking at, but if you look at the upgrade
procedure in the release notes for this particular firmware version, you
will see that resetting the gateway is not necessary.
