Hi guys!
As usual, I have a very strange problem.
Some XP SP2 clinets sometimes can't resolve a DFS link. But they can do it
using a netbios link. In other way:
\\domain.company.it\dfsroot don't work
\\domain\dfsroot work
I have sniffed the network interface and the resul is that when you use the
FQDN links, the OS query netbios name like domain.it, domainit and after dns
query like domainit.othersuffix.it ecc. ecc.
I can't belive it! It seems a psychopathic PC!!
I have checked everything, but it seems all OK.
Help me or, as we say in Italy, I 'll go to live under a bridge!
Thanks

Can you ping the server using FQDN?
What do you use to resolve netbios name to IP? WINS?
Does it work if you use IP Address directly?
