DFS Connectivity problems

We have an architecture of 32 middle tier Windows 2003 servers, all of
which have access to a Distributed File System (DFS) on a Windows 2003
server. The servers provide a multitude of functions, such as file
creation, file reads etc. We are encountering intermittent loss of
access to said DFS server, across all servers - not all at the same
time.
Analysis has shown no network outages, no CPU/memory high utilisation
of DFS server, and having had some major tech experts on site, we are
no closer to finding root cause.

PS. DFS server is in a veritas cluster.

Any ideas?

Thanks
