how to determine the wwn name.

Gurus,

I know Windows well but an EMC guy off-site asked me what the wwn names were
of the HBA adapters in my server. I do know we use EMC hardware, but do not
know how to determine the wwn name.

You should have an application called Navisphere that would tell you or you
can logon to your fibre switch and find out that way. You might even be able
to get it from the BIOS of the HBA too. EMC also provides utilities like
Microsoft MPS reports that should be able to pull that information as well.

Look at your configured hosts, I believe you can go to the properties of them
and they will show you the HBAs in that host. Here is a link that might help

You can find the HBA wwn on your windows host :

1) For Emulex HBA's : launch an application called HBAnyware
2) For Qlogic HBA's : launch an application Qlogic SanSurfer
