Hello All,

I'd like to transfer some data from a client to server. How can I
determine the maximum throughput at the other end?

Since you are using Windows, estimate a maximum of 67% of the available
bandwidth.

Is there any specific APIs to determine the same?

Probably not. It's a Windows problem and nothing to do with Linux, UNIX,
BSD or anything else.

If you were under Linux, you could give a try to the "bing" command that
is exactly made for this.

Or just try to copy a file over an unencripted connection (say http) and
count time.

Cheers,

Trasnfer data how exactly? Filesystem to filesystem? Memory to memory?

The glass is neither half-empty nor half-full. The glass has a leak.
The real question is "Can it be patched?"
these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway...
feel free to post, OR email to rick.jones2 in hp.com but NOT BOTH...
