Im looking for a XP desktop solution to display live network connection
data. I only want a list of connected computers that is maybe updated every
30 seconds. An ideas?

Look@host (from look@lan) ? setup individual addresses and it ping every x
seconds to see if they respond (are awake).
'S'what I use when I need to anyway.

Are you looking to capture actual traffic packets? If so then wireshark
(used to be ethereal).

To just monitor network activity (Ip addressing, ports, open connections
etc) I might us IP tools.

William4, thanks for that... Thats exactly what I was looking for. All I
wanted was a visual display on the desktop of all the computers connected to
the network and an ability to update the info regularly. It works a treat.
