Having just ordered Home 500, why are they quoting a set-up time of 15days
when other providers do it in 5 days?

Probably playing safe as they are mostly in the hands of BT. I recall my
set up was rather quicker than I had expected.

Ditto - can't remember what my set up time was but it was a lot less
than quoted. It's always been a first class service as well.

Mine was up and working in just over a week. Excellent service. No
problems connecting. Modem installation was a breeze. Kept me well
informed regularly by email and snail mail. Everything arrived in good
time. Had occasion to ring them twice over minor queries - answered
immediately and dealt with quickly and efficiently. Hope this continues.
Not even had my 1st payment taken yet!

That's why I left them. Brightmail doesn't just filter spam, it takes
out genuine emails as well.

If they offered the option of checking what is being treated as spam
(like Bt and Hotmail and no doubt others) I'd go back to them like a
shot.

1) you can turn it off...

2) never knowingly lost anything - clearly YMMV!
