Demarc 300mw wifi card not working

Just bought one of their top of the line 300mw RWZ cards and I can't get
it to work. It shows up fine in device manager, everything seems
installed correctly. I uninstalled my Senao drivers, etc. In the status
window it says "Radio Off" though. I don't see where I'm supposed to
turn it on. The only sign of life is if I go to "site survey" menu and
then it shows the signal noise, etc. But when I hit Rescan under Access
Point Browser it doesn't find any. It should be working, I disabled WEP
and encryption etc on the router and it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

version of OS?
model of card in question?
version of driver for said card?
version of firmware for said card?

Any other hints you might want to give us to assist in running down the
problem.
