Dell 1130 mini-pci card + Netstumbler

I just installed a Dell 1130 mini-pci wireless 802.11b/g card
in my Dell C610 laptop - works fine talking to my old WAP11 -
BTW - the 1130 mini-pci seems to have the Broadcom chip -

I tried to fire up Netstumbler and it's weird.....
It starts, and then almost immediatly quits.
If I keep starting it,
every so often it will show that it found the AP,
but it still quits in about a second !!!
Any ideas and why it just starts & quits ?

Had the same and found out that it shuts down only if you don't have
"activated" the card (when it has no IP because you're connected by wire or
just didn't choose the available wireless network).
So: try to connect via wireless, then start netstumbler and see...

Netstumbler doesn't like wifi cards based on Broadcom chipsets. The next
version is supposed to address this but there hasn't been a new version of
Netstumbler in over a year.

my truemobile 1180, which is also a broadcom chipset, works fine with
netstumbler 0.3.30.
