We have removed some network printers in a Win2K3 domain and deleted
them from the print server (same as domain controller). Domain users
are connected to those printers via per-user connections to the domain
controller (print server), and they still see the printers when they
login. Is there a way to globally remove a network printer from the
profiles of all users in a domain? We don't want to wait for the user
to logon using his/her account, so a logon script is not a good
solution.
We are switching to per-machine connections, so we really just want a
way to delete all network printer connections from all user profiles in
a domain.
I know it is easy to globally remove/manage per-machine network
printers using PrintUI.dll, but extensive searching has not turned up
any solution for centrally managing per-user network printers.
