I have two 2.4Ghz cordless phones. One, a General Electric, interferes
with everything if it is nearby either my router or a wireless -b card.
Another, VTec, interferes with nothing. The GE also picks up microwave
oven interference, while the VTec does not. Also, IMO, the GE is a
piece of trash, which is why I got the VTec. So, there are phones that
will interfere, but even the GE does not interfere unless it is very
close to -g equipment. The microwave interferes only with the GE phone,
never with the -g signal.
The worst case of interference I have is interaction between the wired
portion of the router if it is closer than about 18 inches (45cm) to the
RCA cable modem.
