Went with their 1mbit adsl for £27.50 per month. I think it drops to 512k
in the day but thats ok because I am at work in the day. I have 7 days to
cancel and then it's a 3 month contract. Anyone heard of them or had any
experience of them?

I've just left them after a terrible 2 years.
In all kinds of mess at various points and customers
have left in droves. I would have strongly advised you
to check out the adsl and ispreview forums first but you
seem to have asked for advise at the wrong stage...

I've never had any problems with AOL. They are the most reliable ISP I have
been with, and that includes Demon, Line1, Freeserve and bottom of the pile,
BTInternet, and I mean bottom of the pile!

If you read/search/post at
http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist...Board=otherisp - I believe
there are quite a few Fast 24 customers there..

Been with them for over 2 years.

First 18 months on dial-up with few problems (1 major)

Next 7 months on ISDN with few problems

Last month on 512 ADSL with no problems (except they didn't keep me
informed about the upgrade - I used the link posted on here and told
them when it had been done!)

Others have different stories to tell. Once again it seems to depend on
where you live / local exchange etc.

No connection except satisfied customer...

Jeez, you are a glutton for punisment. Do you REALLY choose all those
CRAP ISP's? Where are you planning on going next Tiscali???

What's wrong with Pipex or Plusnet?

Or any of the dozens of other ISPs? Although I must admit when I had
LineOne (which then became Tiscali) Bt SurfTime dial-up they were pretty
good.

I tried to leave after my first 10 days of not very good service - they
wouldn't have it and kept me to the 3 month minimum contract.

After 6 weeks, I now seem to have a reasonable service, though speeds aren't
fantastic (on the 2MB service anyway). Latency ok now.

Cust svc not very good. I think there's about one decent guy doing all the
work.

Good luck and welcome to the club.
