Thanks for the additional info. For now, I've got hold of another
DG834GT and taken mine apart.

The two biggest 1000uF 16V caps are badly blown so I've removed them
along with a 470 + 100uF and ordered replacements. Fingers crossed, I
might get a bit more life out of it yet.

Absolutely right, which is why my LAN is connected through Gigabit
switches with only one link going to the 2820n and thence to the
outside world.

From what I gather, the DGN2000 is "kind of" a DG834G v4 (or DG834GT) but
with 'N' wireless. That means the Broadcom chipset, so should be good.

My experience has been that there are other issues with the versions before
V4. Still if you one to hand and have the skill to repair it then you don't
have much to lose.
