I played around with a DCS-2000 for a few hours. Couldn't get it to work.
Not sure if it was my router or what, but could never get past the process
of where you obtain an IP address from the router, and then flash that IP
to the camera. Every time I tried flashing to the camera, the installer
would throw up a winsock error message 10013. Really disappointed and paid
a lot for the camera too. After talking to DLink tech support, I realized
that I was never going to get the camera to work. So back to the store it
went for a refund. I'd be interested in hearing whether your replacement
camera doesn't crash. I suspect it will behave the same way as the camera
it replaces.
