D-Link wireless/wired routers?

Hi group:

I currently have two desk-top computers using shared internet access using a
D-Link DI-604 router (wired connections).

I also have a lap-top which I use when traveling - I use a DWL-G122 adapter when
I'm staying in hotels which provide wireless Internet access.

Is there such a thing as a wireless/wired router (to be used instead of the
DI-604), where I could keep the two desktops wired as I do now, but also connect
with the laptop using the wireless adapter?
Or is there perhaps an item which I can connect to the DI-604 so that it will
act as a wireless unit for the laptop?

I have a Dlink DI-604 as well (for wired connections). I decided to connect
a wireless router to the Dlink (the wireless is configured in that case as
an "access point") BUT to answer your question, almost all wireless routers
I have seen also have wired ports as well... the Dlink DI-624 (I think) or
any other wireless router has 4 wired ports along with wireless... Look at
the specs.

You can buy a wireless and graft it into your setup (as I did) to cause
minimal disruption to stuff that is already working or you can simply
replace your existing wired-only router with a wireless. I guess the term
"wireless router" has mislead some people into thinking that all it does is
wireless - not usually the case, although I suppose there might be
wireless-only products out there...

Is your 604 running a DSL connection or sharing a cable modem?

I'm having trouble sharing a cable modem with it. The laptop connects
wirelessly but won't see the internet.
The desktop meanwhile (connected via Ethernet to Dlink which is in turn
connected to the NTL cable modem) works fine, internet OK.

Any advice?

Not really, I'm afraid - I never had anything to do with Internet over cable . .
