I'm having difficulty setting up a D-Link DI-614+ AP connecting to a single
DWL-520 adapter. I have changed the Preamble to short based on e-mail
support from D-Link. Printing from the wireless machine to the hardwired
machine, which has the printer, the "test" page will quit about 2/3 of the
way through. Interestingly, (since the wireless computer is running Kasaa) I
applied the Kazaa settings from D-Link help and it cured the printing, I
think. To me Kazaa settings might coincidentally help but Kazaa itself
should not be an issue because Kazaa stays on the wireless machine
My question is what are the most reliable settings for this equipment for
file sharing and printing.
OS W2K sp4 on both machines.
Client for MS Networks running
File and Printer sharing for MS networks running
NetBEUI protocol running (this, the ONLY way to get each machine to see the
other even with Enable NetBIOS checked or Use NetBIOS from DHCP server
checked, I tried both)
TCP/IP (of course)
Thanks,
Don
