Hi,

I have a problem with a D-Link DWL-P200 Power Over Ethernet kit.
I installed the two units of the kit at the ends of an UTP cable
(Category 6 - about 50 meters), it worked fine for a couple of days,
then it suddenly stopped working.

When I connect the UTP cable to the P+DATA OUT RJ45 port of the Adapter
Base Unit, the PWR led switches from a steady green to a blinking green
(also the green becomes much softer).

I tried another D-Link DWL-P200 PoE kit and I have the same problem.

What could be wrong with my installation?

What does the blinking PWR led mean?

Thanks.

It looks like the UTP cable may be faulty, since the green PWR led of
the Adapter Base Unit blinks as soon as I connect one end of the UTP
cable to the P+DATA OUT port, even if the other end of the UTP cable is
not connected to the P+DATA IN port of the ther Adapter Terminal Unit.

But the PoE kit worked fine on that cable for a couple of days, that's
weird ...

Any idea?

Thanks.
