D-link DWL-G650 Airplus problem

I've recently purchased a D-link DWL-G650 (B3) for use on my Dell
laptop under Win2k (and eventually SuSE but that's a problem for
another day).

The card installed OK under the 'administrator' and has been working
well but when logged in as a normal or power user airplus.exe
produces DrWatson errors and fails completely.

Any suggestions as to what's causing the problem? I've not found
anything so far on hte Dlink support site or through genral googling.

In case anyone else is struggling with this one I found the answer on
the Expansys Dlink support forum: apparently the software is designed
to be only used by users with admin rights. A pretty poor way to
indicate unauthorised use though...

My advice...get rid of the card. My neighbor had a 650+ (P1) that
dropped the signal all the time. A different card solved the issue
(Gigafast from MicroCenter - cheapest one they carry).
