D-Link DWL-650+ Problems

Hi,

I have a D-Link DWL-650+ card. I downloaded the latest XP driver dated
12/3/03 and installed it to fix my problem, but I still have it. After
I install the driver I will have a connection, but then on restart I
will lose it meaning the driver won't load. It then detects new network
card and tries to load the driver but can't find it! Any ideas on how
to fix?

Did so. Tipped me to a Dell Inspiron BIOS Update A11 which fixed the
problem.

Well I gave up and bought a Netgear card. The DLink did that same thing on
both mine and my daughter's laptops. We tried everything from uninstalling
the utility to 4 or 5 driver versions. We were both getting occasional
crashes to blue screen as well that pointed to the driver. Got the netgear
for $34 and am very happy

My problem progressed to blue screens after I updated my Dell Inspiron
2650 to version A11. The link is solid after this update but now I get
blue screens when the laptop comes out of sleep mode. I tried different
version drivers to no avail. Think it is time to take the hammer to the
card as D-Link isn't offering to replace it.
