I and others are having exactly the same problem --- see
my post of 8/19 and the responses from Jeff and Don. It
appears from their responses that the problem is not
limited to the D-Link device, but may be a general USB
problem with Windows ME and Windows 98 (which BTW is
exactly what D-Link told me - supposedly the device works
properly with later versions of Windows). So far, the
only thing that works for me is the "disconnect before
rebooting" fix --- and I agree with you that it's a pain
(especially if you forget to disconnect).
Can anybody suggest a way to get Microsoft and/or D-Link
to look at this issue and fix it?
