Any one out there know how to reset the log?

I'm fed up with getting the vastly over inflated figures when I check up on
it, it's showing 18320 hour(s) 18 minute(s) for less than an hours line
time at the moment.....

If you restart it then you have to reset the clock which immediately
inflates the times on the log again....

It's a nice robust, bare bones unit but it does have more than a few quirks
(still it's far more stable than the Linksys I tried which counts for a
lot)...

The 'help desk' was like all helpdesks are nowadays, in other words not a
lot....

I have a DSL-G604T - where do you set the time on it? Mine just displays
uptime - this seems accurate - but I have never found out where to set the
time (and date?)

I am on version V0.00B01T04.UK.20040220 of the firmware.

Am thinking of getting one of these as my Linksys just dropped out again -
utterly useless. Is the range better than the Linksys WAG54G if that's what
you happened to have previously?

Cheers.

It's more basic & hasn't got a full firewall but I did find it more stable,
the Linksys I tried was falling over every 90 minutes or so & when it was
rebooting it was lossing the wifi link. I 'soak' tested this unit, wifi
streaming audio visuals to a TV, one PC on P2p with some heavy downloading,
& another just genrally browsing, for over 28 hours with no problems at all.

Maybe the Linksys is/was one of a faulty batch but the D-Link, although it
is basic & I've got this problem with the log, worked which is what it's all
about...

It did - I have now been on line for 18322 hour(s) 2 minute(s)
However I never paid any attention to my uptime before. The nice thing is I
can set my time now! Thanx

This must be a D-Link feature as my 504T does the same thing:
The date is currently Jan 17, 1970 and uptime is 429468117 hours.

The latest firmware does at least allow setting of the date and time but
won't do it automatically on startup. This is a serious improvement on the
original firmware when every restart was September 8th (year unknown).

Otherwise I have no complaints with this unit, and the uptime thing I can
live with.
