Hello! I've got a D-Link DI-524 router connected on a system running
Win XP pro with one computer networked via a D-Link DWL-G120
wireless adapter. The 2nd computer is running Win XP. I also have a
cable internet connection through a Motorola cable modem. It all
works just fine, with the exception of the occasional signal drop
off, which I have resigned myself to be common with most wireless
routers. My problem is with the chat program mIRC. I have read
various web sites with info on how to make mIRC work with D-Link
routers, and have mine set up with ports 2070-2080 and the virtual
server configured also. I can't get the DCC send to work at all
after trying several settings and would like to know if anyone has
some information on how on can get this specific model to work with
mIRC. Should I try different ports, or is there something else
entirely different I'm missing. I know I'm being perhaps a little
vague with the settings, but I used the exact model from the D-Link
web site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
