D-Link DI-514 802.11b Router Disconnects on Data Transmit

I just got the aforementioned router and every 30 seconds it
disconnects me. It then takes 3 minutes for Windows to find the AP
again, and this reoccurs every 30 seconds.

Equipment:
2 computers running Windows XP
Linksys WUSB11 v. 2.6 adapters
D-Link DI-514 802.11b Access Point
802.11x Authentication is NOT checked off.

I have no idea why there is a disparity in the dates of firmware on
the website and the router setup page, but the product is not serviced
internationally.

Is there anything I can do?
