I have the same combo with the PC-Card on a Win2K system. The
encryption option is NOT in the advanced tab of the Device Manager and
I have to manually select WPA-PSK every time I need to reconnect
(usually only when I bootup, but occassionally I'll have to reboot the
router which forces a reconnect).
I usually select the "Site Survey" link, double-click the connection
with this SSID, select the WPA-PSK check box and then it connects
fine. Would be nice if you didn't have to do this everytime but I
suspect that D-Link forces you to do this by design.
