After a few minutes, my 614+ drops all network connections. I cannot
even reach the router's web page. This happens for both the wired and
wireless connections. I am running firmware 3.20CM and have turned
off UPNP. If I unplug the router and then plug it back in, it will
work for a few minutes again. I am running the factory default
settings at the moment. Any ideas?

Try the non CM version of the firmware.

Mine did this as well I upgraded to latest firmware and the problem is
fixed. I also use cantennas now as well. Mine is a DI-614+ rev a model.

I initially did run 3.20, but it did the same thing as the CM version.

I talked to D-Link tech support, and they suggested changing the MTU
setting to 1490 or 1480. This changed the activity light for my
computer from blinking quickly to staying solid. I still have my
original problem, however.

I am going to call them again.

In case you're using XP Service pack 1 and its wireless zero config, try
this.
Double click the network icon, select Properties, select the Wireless
Networks tab,
then select properties of your wireless network. In the Authentication
tab, make sure the "Enable 802.1x authentication for this network" is
disabled. If you enable it, the client will try to authenticate with a
server
which is not typically present in a home network. Failure to authenticate
will cause the connection to go down after a few minutes (timeout I guess)
and only reconnect/reboot will help. This also happens with other routers.

Good luck,
Rob.
