I like to play Command and Conquer Zero Hour
I bought the D Link 4300 because it claimed to be great for games and
even listed Command and Conquer Zero hour in its advertising materials.
I believe they even had the C&C logo on the box. Sometimes the Router
will work for 1 v 1 games but it never works if I have more than one
person on my LAN trying to play with me. My old Linksys model BEFSR41
could do this with no problem and it is almost 5 years old and didn't
claim to be extra good at games. I'm rather annoyed that I payed 3
times as much for a "gaming" router that claims to be good for C&C and
it doesn't even work as advertised. The most current firmware update
doesn't solve the problem and their help pages are extremely unhelpful.
Does anyone have any advice on how to fix my D Link 4300 so that 2 or
more players on my LAN can connect to an online C&C Zero Hour
multiplayer game?

Lets look at the name of this newsgroup. It starts off with Microsoft
so Microsoft products must be on topic while other hardware is off
topic. Then it says public meaning any moron with an Internet
connection can post. Then it says broadbandnet which must mean
Microsoft's broadband networking stuff. Last but not least it says
hardware, so this newsgroup must really talk about the Microsoft
Broadband Networking hardware & thus it is not a general networking
newsgroup.

Pay attention to where you post & don't post the same problem twice in a
row with so little time between posts. Your problem is with either
Windows, a setting in your router, or something to do with your game.
You should post in a newsgroup for one or more of the following a
general networking newsgroup, one that supports your hardware, one that
supports your version of Windows, or one that supports your game.

I bet you just need to enter some settings into your router that you
haven't. One last resource for you as I'm in a good mood today is the
