Hi All

I am trying to get 2 d-link 2100AP's working as master and repeater, I
have looked at all the settings and just can not seem to get the
repeater to start to extend the range, I have set the mac ( the one on
the label ) address of the master unit on the Repeater but no joy when
I telnet to the repeater through a cable I can see the master with
apwlanstate. both units have the same wep key and essid name the IP
address is static 192.168.1.2 for the master and .3 for the repeater.
any help or advice will be great.

Many thanks In Advance

I think you will find the AP has 2 MAC addresses, the one on the label is
probably the Ethernet MAC address, there should be a status page within the
AP showing its wireless MAC, which is the one to use.

Always log into the AP's configuration utility and go to the Status tab. It
will display the Ethernet and the Wireless MAC addresses. I would not trust
the MAC Address on the labeling on the bottom of the AP. Too often I find
that it is incorrect.
