Cyrus / Sendmail

I'm running Mandriva 2006 Club and have installed Cyrus and Sendmail from
the distribution.

Each package appears to working correctly - I can tenet into senmail and
send a message to users and it shows up in their sendmail inbox. I can
connect to Cyrus on using either Kmail or Evolution. Trying to send a
message through the client in Cyrus does get sent.

It appears that the messages are not getting picked up by Cyrus from
Sendmail though. I have not opened this up to the internet yet as I still
have to get 1) working and 2) secured.

Any thoughts, hints, suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

TIA,

Bill

And did you configured Sendmail to use Cyrus to deliver the mail? Apparently
not. See the documentation of Cyrus.

I *think* I did... I reviewed the cyrusproto.mc file in the cf/ subdir
and added its entries into the sendmail.mc in /etc/mail.

I tried using the entries listed in the Cyrus docs (installed when I
installed Cyrus) that specified 'cyrusv2' but no luck. I'm currently
using the entries from the cyrusproto.mc file

------------------------------------
define(`confLOCAL_MAILER', `cyrus')
..
..
..
MAILER(`local')
MAILER(`smtp')
MAILER(`cyrus')
-------------------------------------

Obviously I'm missing something... Thanks.

Bill

Apologies for responding to an old message, but seems it has gone
unanswered.

After this, did you build sendmail.cf from the modified sendmail.mc?
sendmail.cf is what sendmail actually uses, sendmail.mc is "source code"
for that (much more readable).

Most probably just rebuilding sendmail.cf.

Which version of cyrus imapd do you have? If it's 2.x, the "cyrus"
mailer will most probably not work, and cyrusv2 is required.
