hi.

I'm probably missing something simple...

I have sshd running on a win2k box with cygwin. I want to connect to
it, and I'm using putty.

I can not login tho. I keep getting access denied when I enter my
password.

How do I login?

Can someone help or at least point me in the right direciton?

Thanks,
john

actually, is this what I need to do first?
(http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/usin....html#MKPASSWD)

$ mkdir /etc
$ mkpasswd -l > /etc/passwd

I can't check now as I'm not at work anymore.

I'm apparently connecting via ssh, as it asks for a username/password. I
just can't connect.

thx,
john

Really, I'm not out to destroy Microsoft. That will just be a completely
unintentional side effect.
