Creating User Friendly Mapped Drives

When I used to manually map drives, after doing so, I would right-click the
folder and rename it to something user friendly. For example, after issuing
command;

net use X: \\data\apps

I would see a mapped drive in Explorer, named "apps on 'data' - (X"

I'd rename it to "Applications" because its user friendly.

Is there a command I can add to my login script to do this?
