Hi all,

well this is a first posting so be gentle!!

I have a situation that I am hoping someon can help with.

We have two domains tuk2003.co.uk and twtnative.twtus.com

TUK2003 is running on a Windows 2003 network in the UK, with TWTNATIVE
running on a Windows 2000 network in the US.

We have newtork link between the two domains, and DNS has been setup
each side (I can ping servers on each side from the other - fully
qualifying with the domain name).

WHen I try to setup a trust relationship between the two domains, I get
a mesage imediately, that the other domain cannot be reached.. any
ideas anyone (while I still have some hair left!).

Cheers

Hi uk2003,

Have you tried these:

http://groups.google.com.br/group/mi...bb513d59177b0d

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;295335

I believe the NetBIOS over TCP/IP could be an answer (it's detailed in the
first link).

Yours,
Nelson Kotowski.

Nelson,

many thanks for your suggestion. I have tried that, but with no
success.

On the Windows 2003 side I just get a message that the other domain is
not available.

On the Windows 2000 side I get a message saying that the RPC server is
not available...

Erm... I'm stumped!

Geoff
