I am currently running Windows Small Business Server 2003 Premium. I have a
Cisco Aironet 1100 wireless access point that I would like to configure to
use the Radius server on the SBS 2003 machine. I have applied Hotfix 811233
(to enable WPA support via Group Policy), installed Certificate Services and
the IAS service. Additionally, I have setup the SBS domain controller
certificate and configured IAS to recognize the Cisco 110 AP and have
configured the IAS wireless remote access policy. However, when I go to
create a GPO to automatically request computer certificates and configure the
wireless settings on the client computers, I hit a snag.
Here is what I have done:
I have created a new Group Policy Object and gone in to edit it (Computer
Configuration-Windows Settings-Security Settings-Wireless Network (IEEE
802.11) Policies). I have setup the Wireless Policy Name. When I view the
properties of the policy, I am presented with 2 tabs (General and Preferred
Networks). In the General tab I have the Policy Name, Description, Check For
Policy Changes (180 minutes), Any available network (access point preferred),
Use Windows to configure wireless network settings for clients (checked), and
Automatically connect to non-preferred networks (unchecked). However, when I
go to the Preferred Network tab and click the "Add" button, nothing happens.
My Cisco 1100 is not displayed and there is no message at all. It is as if
the "Add" button is mot functioning. I can ping the Access Point with no
problem, but I cannot add it. I don't know what else to try and am hoping
someone here has some clue. Thank you very much.
