Windows 2003 Server Enterprise, 5.8 GB available on the system drive - I'm
trying to install DHCP, I get the following error:

Could not install the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) component
because a file or registry entry is missing.

Nice. Of course, the real information is in the Event Log. Here are all
event log entries generated during the course of the installation attempt
(in chronological order):

If you can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks,

- Joe Geretz -

Some are reporting that this has something to do with the SQL Server 2005
April CTP.

http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/Sho...x?PostID=59347

I did install this a few weeks ago (although I subsequently uninstalled it)
so this could be the source of my problem. It doesn't look like anyone has
solved this...

:-(

Luckily I have a LinkSys router which I can set as the DHCP Server.
